Description

In this Japanese seaweed salad you will find: Wakame seaweed, suginori, mirunori, tosaka and kombu root. Seaweed is highly prized in Japanese cuisine due to its unique flavor, versatility in dish preparation, and health benefits. At Casa Perris we present them together to prepare delicious Japanese-style salads. Instructions:

  1. Soak the seaweed : Start by soaking the dried seaweed in cold water until it is hydrated, but not too much.
  2. Cut additional ingredients : While the seaweed is hydrating, you can prepare other ingredients that you want to add to the salad. You can cut cucumber, carrots, avocado or other vegetables into thin strips or julienne strips to complete the salad.
  3. Drain and drain the seaweed : Once the seaweed is hydrated and soft, drain it and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking. Then, drain them well to remove excess water.
  4. Make the dressing : In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil and, if desired, a little soy sauce and sugar to taste. This mixture will give flavor to your seaweed salad.
  5. Mix the ingredients : In a large bowl, combine the drained seaweed with any additional prepared ingredients, if you have them. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix everything gently so that the flavors integrate.
  6. Serve and decorate : Serve the Japanese seaweed salad on individual plates or in a large bowl. You can sprinkle toasted sesame on top for decoration and to give it a little texture.
