Chestnut flour has a high nutritional value . Very rich in carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals. It has a smooth and sweet flavor and a slightly smoky aroma. Since chestnut flour does not rise when baking, we recommend not substituting more than 1/4 of the total amount of all-purpose flour used in a baking or bread recipe with chestnut flour.
