This bread is the perfect accompaniment to any dish, especially for snacking between meals, since it is a sweet and very tasty bread. Many times conventional wheat flour bread is too heavy. Therefore, an ideal option to complete our daily diet is to make our own bread. It is a simple recipe in which we use vegetable milk and a selection of nuts, which give a special touch to this very basic food. Additionally, to give a more fruity and sweet touch, we can add plums and brown sugar. The nuts, which we add chopped to the bread, are also very energetic: walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds. Walnuts provide a large amount of Omega 3 and their fats and minerals help prevent cardiovascular diseases. On the other hand, the strong point of hazelnuts is their high fiber content, as well as almonds, which also have healthy fats and vegetable proteins. Altogether, with this recipe we managed to have a delicious bread suitable for vegetarian diets and very suitable for covering breakfasts and snacks in a healthy way, especially for the little ones in the house. Ingredients:
  • 80 g raw almonds
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 80 g hazelnuts
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 80 g of walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 40 g of baking seeds
  • 25 g of raisins
  • 25 g pitted plums
  • 250 ml vegetable milk
  • 140 g of pastry flour
  • A little bit of salt
  Preparation : In this recipe we have chopped the nuts and also the plums a little. (to taste) 1. In a bowl, place all the nuts along with the brown sugar, thyme, flour and baking soda. We add the salt and mix lightly. 2. Next we add the milk and stir until we obtain a light dough. 3. We heat the oven to 180º and prepare a container type for preparing plum cake (rectangular) and we line it with kitchen paper. 4. Pour the dough over the container and place it in the oven, heating from below for 40 - 50 minutes, always checking that the top does not burn. 5. We let it cool and when it is cold we wrap it in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for approximately 1 hour and a half. 6. When we take it out, we let it come to room temperature and we can enjoy this delicious bread. It can also be consumed toasted by baking for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
