The breaded chicken strips with green rice is a very complete dish, if you look at it it includes foods from almost all levels of the food pyramid. The first level includes rice (foods rich in carbohydrates), the third level includes chicken (proteins) and the fourth level includes fats and oils. So it is a good idea to accompany this dish with vegetable garnishes, raw or steamed, to include the second level of the food pyramid (foods rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals).

BATTERED CHICKEN STRIPS WITH GREEN RICE
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast cut into strips
- 5 tablespoons of milk
- Mix of 5 peppers
- Flour
- 1 beaten egg
- Green rice
Preparation (1 hour approx.):
1. Place the chicken strips in a bowl, add the ground pepper mixture and milk. Mix well and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
2. Heat the oven to 200 ºC.
3. After 30 minutes, salt the chicken strips and add more pepper if desired. Other species can be added.
4. Take the chicken strips, dredge them in flour, then in beaten egg and finally in green rice.
5. Place the chicken strips on a baking tray lined with sulfurized paper.
6. Bake the strips for about 18/20 minutes. Turn them over after 10 minutes.
7. Serve hot with our favorite sauce: curry, mayonnaise, tomato jam, ketchup, etc.
