Waffles are a type of crispy cookie originating from Belgium. Its origin comes from medieval cuisine and its spread throughout the world was rapid, first arriving in France and Holland. Today it is known outside the continent with other names such as waffle or wafol. For this recipe we have replaced the iron griddle with a non-stick silicone waffle maker (You can find them on Amazon starting at 5 Euros). As for its ingredients, they have been replaced according to gastronomic evolution, presenting excellent options in its preparation. Almond flour is one of the ingredients that has given it a particular flavor for demanding palates, just like oat flour. In sweet recipes it is perfectly combined with cocoa giving a touch that everyone at home likes. However, the versatility of this cookie has allowed it to also be presented in savory foods, combining very well with chia seeds. Ingredients:
  • 50g almond flour
  • 120g oat flour
  • 7g yeast
  • 15g defatted cocoa
  • 10g chia seeds
  • 180ml of vegetable drink
  • 2 eggs
Preparation: 45 min 1. Pour all the dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix well. 2. Add the eggs and vegetable milk 3. Stir slowly until you have a homogeneous paste 4. We place the mixture in the silicone waffle iron in the oven previously turned on at 200ºC. 5. Bake for 7 min 6. Add your favorite ingredients, remember that the mixture is low in calories and does not contain sugar. 7. We have added a banana, a tablespoon of Dulce de Leche mixed with a spoon of vegetable milk to make it more liquid, you can also replace it with honey. 9. And to finish three buttons of dark chocolate cut into strips to sprinkle on top. Take advantage!
