Apple crumble is a dessert that will not leave you indifferent. For those who do not know it, it is a fruit cake that combines basic ingredients such as flour, butter, sugar and fruits. It is believed that this dessert has its origin in the United Kingdom and emerged during the Second World War coinciding with the food shortage and rationing that existed at that time. When choosing a fruit, it is recommended that it be slightly acidic, such as blackberries, pears, grapes, apples or cherries. For today's recipe we have selected apples as the main fruit and sultanas, you will see the flavor that this combination of fruits provides. To sweeten we are going to combine sugar and panela and we are going to look for the dough to have a rough texture with crumbs, hence its name ''crumble'' which means crumb in Spanish. That is why in some variants of this recipe you will find that cookies chopped into crumbs are used, as it gives it the perfect texture that is sought. When serving, this dessert is eaten warm and combines very well with ice cream, custard and compotes. Now grab a pencil and paper and let's get started. . .
