The alfajor is a very popular sweet throughout Latin America although its origin is Arabic, specifically adopted by Al-Andalusian cuisine. His name ?Alfajor? It comes from the Arabic word ?Al-hasu'' and its translation into Spanish translates as ''stuffing''. After the emancipation process, the recipe became one of the emblematic sweets that is still maintained throughout the Hispanic region to this day. In Argentina its distinction is absolute, to the point of carrying its own name such as the Alfajores Marplatenses, exalting Mar de Plata. It is a recipe that has variations according to many factors. One of them, for example, is that it uses local and, above all, seasonal products for raw materials. For example, Mar del Plata alfajores are different from the rest thanks to the chocolate coating, which gives them, in addition to a rich flavor, a pleasant appearance in their presentation. Its preparation is basically similar to the original alfajores recipe that we published a few weeks ago , its two or more cookies are joined together with jam, jelly, dulce de leche, chocolate and other fascinating mixtures to the palate.
