Bao bread is a type of stuffed bun typical of Chinese cuisine, also known as min pan, baozi or bau. It is a bread that can be served at meals as an accompaniment to main dishes, you can also fill it and make it a single meal. Classic fillings such as roast chicken with pickle are delicious. And if you prefer a more vegan alternative, you can prepare a type of filling with vegetables or any other that comes to mind. . . Combine it however you like! Now yes! Let's prepare our Bread Bao with this delicious recipe. . . PAN BAO RECIPE Ingredients (4 loaves)
- 150 g organic Zamora flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 level tablespoon of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 g dry baker's yeast
- 60 ml milk
- 30ml water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
7. Put water to boil in a pot and place a bamboo steamer.
8. Take a ball of dough and stretch it into an oval shape about 15 or 20 cm long. Repeat this operation with each ball.
9. Place each bao loaf on top of a piece of baking paper cut to size and place the loaves 2 at a time in the steamer. Steam for 10 minutes and leave for another 10 minutes with the steamer off the heat.
10. Remove the first 2 loaves from the steamer and fill them. We have made it with roast chicken and slices of sweet and sour pickles.
11. Repeat the operation with the remaining 2 loaves.
