Basmati rice is born in the valleys of the Himalayas, it has particular characteristics such as its smell and size that make it the preferred rice in Hindu cuisine basically, in fact the word Basmati translates as ''queen of fragrances'' in Hindi. Brown Basmati rice is darker in color than white Basmati, since it preserves the germ and the bran, this provides it with important elements for health such as fiber and helps it preserve B complex vitamins and minerals such as calcium and iron.
