Pu-erh red tea is produced in the Yunnan province of China and is made from green tea leaves through a bacterial maturation process. The infusion has a reddish color and a strong, intense, and slightly smoky flavor.

Red tea contains caffeine and a high amount of antioxidants . These help lower cholesterol, prevent oxidative damage, and cleanse the liver.

Preparation: Infuse a teaspoon of tea at 95ºC for 3 minutes.
