Description

Figs are a soft fruit with a thin, hard skin. Large and fleshy, black or greenish on the outside and purple on the pulp with an especially sweet and intense flavor. They are consumed fresh but also in compotes, syrups, jellies or jams. The jam obtained is one of the sweetest and most intense, and one of those with the highest level of carbohydrates. Fig jam is perfect for spreading on toast and accompanying fresh cheeses, but it also goes very well with meat dishes, especially game dishes.
