Description

Rooibos or South African red tea , although it may be confusing, is not a tea variety but a caffeine-free infusion that is prepared from the leaves of the rooibos plant. The rooibos leaves are left to dry in the sun so that they oxidize and acquire the characteristic reddish color, but without going through a fermentation process. It is a powerful antioxidant and anti-allergy. It helps improve many digestive and intestinal problems, eliminate fluids, reduce cholesterol and provides us with the minerals necessary to maintain healthy bones and teeth. Preparation : Infuse a teaspoon of rooibos at 95ºC for 4-5 minutes.
