Parboiled rice is long-grain rice that has been blanched and then treated with pressurized steam, which removes much of the starch. This results in rice that doesn't overcook and can be stored in the refrigerator for several days after cooking.

Cooking time: Cook for about 20 minutes.

*Note on cooking time : Please note that the cooking times we have indicated were taken on a traditional gas stove and using a conventional pot.
