It is a time of little time and a lot of work. Vacation days are approaching and many of us have just enough time to cook, while we close pending work matters. That's why today we bring you an easy, fun and original recipe. It is a dish that can please both adults and children: Textured Soy Nuggets. It is a perfect dish to accompany a salad or a light starter, for example, and its main ingredient is soy and flour. Soy is a high protein ingredient and used as a vegetarian alternative to many other animal products, as it surpasses eggs, meat and milk in protein. That is why it is considered one of the most important ingredients for vegan and vegetarian diets. Soy also reduces the risk of osteoporosis, is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids and fiber and is a source of minerals: magnesium, iron and calcium. In this recipe we will mix the soybeans with some other ingredients, such as cumin, garlic and vinegar, which will add a more flavorful touch. Ingredients:
  • 150 gr of textured soy
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 glass boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • Bread crumbs

TEXTURED SOY NUGGETS RECIPE

Elaboration 1. First of all, we put the soybeans in a saucepan and add boiling water until the soybeans are covered. We let it rest for about 15 minutes. 2. Chop the garlic into very small pieces and set aside. 3. We continue draining the soy well (very important) and then place it in a bowl to add the rest of the ingredients. We mix with the already chopped garlic, the parsley, the cumin and the tablespoons of vinegar. We mix everything and add the boiling water to lighten the dough a little. 4. We continue mixing and stirring and finally we add the flour. We continue mixing well and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Once we take it out of the refrigerator we check its texture to work the mixture (if we see that it is very light it is time to add a little more flour). 5. Finally we work the dough to shape the nuggets and coat them with the breadcrumbs. In a saucepan or deep frying pan, put sunflower oil and heat it well before adding the nuggets. It's just a matter of making the nuggets to taste, rare or well done. Good
