CHOCOLATE AND COCONUT BARS RECIPE

  INGREDIENTS
  • coconut (grated 150 gr)
  • dark chocolate (100 gr)
  • dates 8-10 units
  • sunflower oil as needed.
ELABORATION 1. We take out the bones of the dates and grind them in the mortar until making a kind of paste. 2. Add the grated coconut with a little olive oil (we will add as much oil as the mixture requires to obtain a dough). 3. Once this is achieved, we put the dough in a small tupperware or square or rectangular mold and place it in the freezer for at least two and a half hours. 4. Once we take the mold or tupperware out of the freezer, we begin to dissolve the chocolate. I prepare it by placing it in the microwave but it can also be melted in a bain-marie. If we do it in the microwave, we heat it in 20 second intervals, until we see that the chocolate has completely dissolved. 5. The next thing is to pour the chocolate over the coconut and decorate with a chopped or whole fresh mint leaf. If it is not going to be consumed immediately, it should be kept in the refrigerator.
