Organic infusions dominate the market. ''Plastic free'' are proposed as the alternative for a balanced and sustainable world. They start from the concept that, if they are good for the body, they must also be good for the environment. In this sense, several producers, artisans and ecological entrepreneurs have begun to eliminate plastic in their presentations, starting from the packaging itself to covering the smallest detail on their bags containing the infusion. It is the beginning of what has been called the environmental awareness of organic products. In this post we will highlight the changes that have been generated when proposing this new product.
1. Use of biodegradable material
The biodegradable material has replaced the traditional filter bag made of nylon where the infusion rests. Now, these bags are being manufactured in soilon, a material obtained from the plant fibers of corn, biodegradable and ideal for the compost process and can be reused in the sowing of the infusions themselves if necessary.
2. Carton type
The cardboard chosen for this type of products is the Folding type, which means "foldable" in Spanish, ideal for its ease of being malleable as well as being indicated for primary packaging in the world of packaging. When presenting organic products, the important thing is their FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) controlled farms label or what in translation means "Forest Stewardship Council?" which certifies that the products that have it contain a mixture of materials and controlled sources throughout their production chain, avoiding ecological problems such as illegal wood trafficking, for example.
3. Naturflex bags
Naturflex bags are used to package the infusions inside their box, the intention is to prevent the aroma from escaping and to keep it away from any predator or pest that reaches the storage location. This bag is similar to a plastic bag to the touch, its innovative cellulose film material makes it a biodegradable product with compostable properties and its organic matter can be used for crops.
RE-INFUSIONABLE UP TO 3 TIMES
4. Support for organic products
Support for organic products is being established through various organizations around the world. One of them is the Green Trade Network of the German Society for Technical Cooperation, which provides assistance in the production process from the collection of raw materials to processing, research and commercial contacts. This idea has been progressively materializing in much of Europe and has been widely received by consumers due to the principles on which the products are created and with the healthy intention of promoting ethical trade with the competition.
The production of organic products has begun with infusions for some time now. In this sense, there are many advances in this matter to the point that there are various certifications and seals that guarantee the consumer an ecological product free of plastic and that respects the environment.
