Garam Masala, spice mix
Garam Masala is known as curry, translated it means ''Hot Spices''. It is a mixture of an undetermined amount of dried spices used throughout the Asian continent, especially in Southeast. There are several ways of preparation and various combinations of ingredients, so it is not known for sure what the original recipe is.
However, the most widespread recipe is the one that incorporates: cumin, coriander, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and cayenne. The product of this combination is a slightly spicy mixture with an explosive flavor, capable of enhancing and complementing dishes with vegetables, legumes, rice, meat and fish.
The nutritional properties of this set of spices are characterized by being rich in antioxidants, in addition to the aphrodisiac effects that it is said to have.
