What is the correct way to take bee pollen?
Nutritional pollen is a food obtained directly from bee hives, which has been transported from the plants there by the bees themselves. Its presentation is in the form of orange granules and this is the most common way to find it on the market.
To be consumed, it must be made in powder or liquid form, since we will not be able to take advantage of all its nutrients if it is consumed whole. If you buy it whole you just have to grind it into powder.
Both adults and children can consume it without problem, although in different quantities. A child under 6 years old can consume a maximum of 4 grams daily, a child between 6 and 12 years old 8 grams and an adult 16 grams. This powder can be added to salads, yogurt, milk and juice. Naturopaths recommend taking pollen on an empty stomach for 20 days and resting for 10 and only repeating if there is a need for any of the nutrients that this food provides.
If you are allergic, it is recommended that you visit a doctor before taking pollen orally.
